Fayetteville Team

In April 2009 the Fayetteville location obtained a membership to the local YMCA. This has given our recipients full access to the facilities. They have the opportunity to exercise, swim, play basketball, etc... This has been beneficial to our service recipients to improve socialization skills, fine & gross motor skills, and overall health & well-being.

In May 2009 we started monthly social groups for all recipients ages 18 & over. This group discusses various topics. They also organize & participate in various community involvement activities.

We invite all staff and service recipients to join us as we enhance our physical fitness by way of walking! ASM, Inc. encourages all to seek holistic wellness and pursue the healthiest lifestyle possible. Wellness Walking is a fun way to work towards that lifestyle. Join us for fun, exercise, and laughter!

Kickers for Christ

Kickers for Christ is a series of karate classes held at the Smith Recreation Center in Fayetteville, NC. The class welcomes people of all ages and walks of life to join and learn the philosophy and art of karate. A particular highlight worth mentioning is the integration of disabled and non-disabled pupils in the Kickers for Christ classes. A Small Miracle, Inc. is pleased and proud to recognize three of its service recipients, Francisco AKA Paco C., Scott B., and Dawn S. who participate in the karate class. Paco has received his black belt in karate and assists with the instruction of a few Kickers for Christ classes. He displays leadership and is a great role model for the other pupils as well as his peers. Scott recently earned his black belt in karate as well. He is an attentive student and very proud of his accomplishments. He also serves as a great role model for his peers. Dawn is currently a green belt in karate. She continues to excel and blossom as she participates in Kickers for Christ. She is learning the importance of discipline and having respect for others.
