Our agency originated in Goldsboro and our corporate office is still located there. While much of our administrative and policy work is done in Goldsboro, we also make plenty of time to have fun with our service recipients and their families.

Goldsboro was the start of our therapeutic horseback riding program and today the majority of our individuals in Goldsboro continue to enjoy this activity at Stepping Stone Therapeutic Riding Center in Goldsboro and The Gathering Place Stables in Kenly. Our service recipients also enjoy the many other animals living at the farm - goats, dogs, cats, llamas, and a burro.

Our staff are active in volunteering for Special Olympics and we have helped sponsor the local Equestrian Invitational in 2005 and 2006. Many of our service recipients love to participate and have become very good riders.

We have a corporate membership to the Goldsboro YMCA so our individuals can swim, walk the track, shoot basketballs, and work out with the supervision and assistance of our staff. Also, through a generous donation from the Kinston Indians, our service recipients are able to attend games for free.

We are fortunate to have an active local chapter of the Autism Society of North Carolina in Goldsboro and we provide free babysitting during the meetings so parents can enjoy themselves without worrying about their children.

Our Goldsboro office also offers monthly activities to include: Karaoke, movies, Wii, foosball, arts and crafts and many more plus our Community Outings Program (to enhance the socialization and community opportunities for our individuals served in Goldsboro and the surrounding area.) Upcoming community outings include Chuck E. Cheese, Ice Cream Social, Bowling, and more.
